About the Role

The Data Engineer is responsible for developing and maintaining a data warehouse and Business Intelligence environment to ensure efficient access to relevant data and analytics solutions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the Analytics team in handling ad hoc requests, recommending data-driven solutions, and addressing information gaps.
  • Design and implement complex data structures and Business Intelligence solutions, continuously improving their effectiveness.
  • Collaborate with the Analytics Manager in an agile development framework to drive project delivery.
  • Participate in data projects, identifying opportunities for optimisation and automation.
  • Develop and maintain documentation on data products and solutions, including design specifications and user guides.
  • Create data solutions from prototype to production status, ensuring seamless deployment.
Requirements
  • Tertiary education in a related field or relevant experience.
  • Demonstrated technical skills in data warehousing, Business Intelligence, semantic data modelling, ETL/ELT processing, SQL, and scripting languages.
  • Able to problem-solve and process data from complex structures to achieve desired analytics objectives.
  • Effective prioritisation and delivery management.
  • Proven experience in a similar role.
