About the Role

This position is a key member of our turf maintenance team and will be responsible for maintaining high-quality turf areas, including golf courses, wickets, and ovals. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in horticulture and experience working with various equipment and chemicals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate and maintain horticultural and arboricultural plant and equipment, including sprayers, mowers, and tractors.
  • Undertake horticultural duties, including weeding, mowing, and tree maintenance.
  • Assist the senior team leader in delivering TAFE education turf programs.
  • Spraying of appropriate insecticides, herbicides, and fungicides, following manufacturer recommendations.
  • Work within Council health and safety policies and wear/use personal safety equipment provided.

About You:

To be successful in this role, you will have demonstrated experience in maintaining golf courses and turf areas to a high standard. You will also be proficient in the use of herbicides, insecticides, pesticides, and fungicides, and be able to work as part of a team.

Essential Experience:

  • Certificate 3 in Horticulture (Turf Management)
  • Current Victorian Drivers Licence
  • A light truck licence would be an advantage
  • A valid employee Working with Children Check
