Leading a High-Performance PMO Team

Merging client, vendor and consulting talent into one high-trust unit requires exceptional leadership skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Establishing and managing the PMO for complex projects, programs or portfolios to drive business outcomes
  • Lifting maturity – overhauling processes, tooling and metrics to match client ambitions through strategic planning and execution
  • Governing like a pro – scheduling, costing, RAID, benefits: maintaining control and transparency throughout the project lifecycle
  • Coaching & mentoring PMO analysts and coordinators to develop their skills and create tomorrow's leaders
  • Providing advisory services to the C-suite – translating data into clear, decision-ready insights to inform strategic decisions
  • Maintaining composure under pressure – setting the tone for the team when stakes are high

About the Role:

We seek an experienced PMO Lead to join our organization. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for leading a high-performing PMO team and driving business success.

Requirements:

  • At least 7 years of experience in raising the value and visibility of PMOs in large tech environments
  • Proven success in standing up and managing PMOs for both traditional and agile programs
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills – able to communicate effectively with boardroom-level stakeholders
  • Experience across project-, program-, portfolio- and (bonus) EPMO-level governance
  • Leadership qualities that inspire trust and loyalty among team members
  • References that demonstrate integrity, resilience and strategic vision
