**About the Role**

We are seeking a Clinical Director of Emergency Medicine to lead our team and provide professional leadership in clinical and service improvement activities.

The successful candidate will possess the necessary clinical expertise, innate understanding of clinical governance, quality and safety, strategy and operations, and financial management.

Responsibilities include providing staff education and supervision across multiple streams, including trainees, students, and staff.

Location: Our hospital is situated on the Queensland coast, offering an ideal work-life balance with plenty of outdoor activities and attractions.

Facility Overview: Our 305-bed facility is the main referral hospital for Central Queensland, providing a range of services including Emergency Medicine, General Medicine, Cancer Services, and more.

The successful candidate will have access to state-of-the-art equipment and services, including accredited training programs for ACEM, ACRRM, and RACGP specialists.

Requirements:

  • Registration with AHPRA or eligibility for registration
  • FACEM or eligibility for FACEM
  • At least 12 months recent experience in Emergency Medicine at a Consultant Level, ideally with Head of Department/Clinical Director experience
  • International Medical Graduates (IMGs) who meet specific criteria may also be considered

Salary:** $180,000 - $220,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications.
