Pharmacy Business Development Manager

The Pharmacy Business Advisor is a key member of the Member Engagement Team, responsible for executing Independent Pharmacies of Australia (IPA) pharmacy brand strategies and standards.
This role aims to develop and maintain meaningful relationships by providing consistent support and leadership to members and their teams, implementing IPA programs and services that drive member growth and deliver on IPA and member imperatives.
Key Responsibilities- Create strategies to enhance pharmacy team capabilities and store operations.
- Commercialize opportunities to help pharmacies build profitable and sustainable businesses.
- Develop a deep understanding of each pharmacy and their local market to offer tailored business solutions and maximize member benefits.
- Engage with Marketing and Merchandise teams to empower members to compete effectively in their local market and maximize sales and income streams.
- 3+ years of experience managing a medium to large team in retail, pharmacy, and/or franchise environment.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and influencing skills.
- Strong understanding of retail KPIs.
- Attention to detail to monitor standards and performance.
- Well-developed business/financial acumen.
- Ability to interact with and engage with all levels of management from store to executive level.
- Ability to undertake regular metro and regional travel when required.
