Main Responsibilities
  • Develop the Statement of Applicability (SOA): Derive system security requirements and support sub-system engineering streams to embed Security functional requirements in their product selection, design work and testing activities.
  • Analyse ISM, PSPF and policies: Identify Security Engineering requirements for SOA and System Requirements Specifications (SRS).
  • Work with lead engineers: Provide security guidance and ensure system security requirements are implemented as per ISM intent.
  • Contribute to System Security Plan (SSP): Develop security design and solution for subsystems' security.
  • Security risk identification and assessment: Document risks in Security Risk Management Plan (SRMP) and propose mitigation options.
  • Test strategy and development: Achieve effective and re-usable testing methods for security requirements verification.
  • Project reviews preparation: Support Security Engineering activities at each project review.
  • Support system accreditation: Develop security artefacts necessary to achieve Security Accreditation of the system and support.
  • Facilitate IRAP assessor engagement: Assist with audit and review activities.
  • Penetration testing coordination: Organise facilities and system access for penetration testing.
  • Track and report remediation activities: Provide cybersecurity engineering support during Operate and Maintain phase.
  • Process optimisation: Focus on efficiency of project execution.
  • Identify and review security risks: Propose effective solutions and execute agreed mitigation actions.
Required Skills
  • Security skills: Excellent knowledge of security principles, processes and standards.
  • Technical skills: Proficiency in software development methodologies and tools.
  • Communication skills: Strong ability to communicate technical information to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
