Medical Professional

The role of a Medical Professional within a multidisciplinary team involves providing essential medical care and support to Defence Force members. This position is responsible for delivering primary medical care to patients in accordance with professional standards, legislation, and Defence policies.
Responsibilities:
You will be integral to assessing Defence personnel for fitness for duty, as well as providing care that supports the health and wellbeing of members pre- and post-deployments. Additionally, you will provide medical technical advice to senior officials.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Current unconditional and unrestricted registration as a Medical Practitioner in Australia with AHPRA
- Fellowship of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (FRACGP) or Fellowship of the Australian College of Rural and Remote Medicine (FACRRM)
- Minimum 2 years full-time post-graduate general practitioner experience in a general practice setting within the last 5 years
- Recent participation in Continuous Professional Development activities in accordance with AHPRA
- Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification
