Job Opportunity: Catering Assistant
We are seeking a reliable and skilled individual to assist our catering team in a casual capacity.
The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting with the preparation of meals, ensuring the nutritional needs of residents are met, and maintaining a clean and hygienic environment in the dining room and servery areas.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with meal preparation and presentation
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene
- Deliver meals to residents in a professional and efficient manner
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a similar role, preferably in an Aged Care environment
- Knowledge in food preparation and safe food handling practices
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Awareness of all relevant WHS guidelines and HACCP requirements
Desirable Qualifications:
- Tertiary qualification in food preparation or commercial cookery
- At least one year experience as a catering assistant in Aged Care or a comparable industry
