In partnership with the Australian Defence Force, we are seeking a skilled Clothing Alterations Specialist to join our team at the East Sale RAAF Base.

This is a full-time role working Monday – Friday.

As Tailor - National Clothing Stores, you will be an essential member of our stores and warehousing team working alongside customer services, stores and tailoring professionals.

Key Responsibilities:

• Measure and fit customers for clothing items
• Perform duties of sewing ranks, insignia, and badges to Defence specification
• Sewing duties including hemming, alterations, and Medal mounting
• Customer service and record keeping of customer orders
• Use of computer systems

Key Skills & Attributes:

• Experience in hand stitch and sewing machine clothing alterations.
• Basic computing skills
• Experience using heavy duty sewing machines - Desirable
• Experience working in a team/Customer Service environment - Desirable
• High attention to detail, accuracy, and time management
• Scheduling workloads and meeting production deadlines

You must be an Australian Citizen and have the ability to maintain a Defence clearance in order to be eligible for these positions, as well as be able to pass an Australian Federal Police Check and Medical Pre-Employment Checks as required by the contract.
