The Occupational Therapist is a vital member of our multidisciplinary team, working to support the development of children aged 0-18 and their families. We are seeking an experienced Occupational Therapist to join our team in Central Australia.
**Job Summary:**
We are looking for an Occupational Therapist who is passionate about working with Aboriginal children and their families. The successful candidate will work within our multidisciplinary team, providing assessment, treatment, management, and support to access the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) for children with developmental and learning disorders.
**Key Responsibilities:**
* Provide occupational therapy services to Aboriginal children aged 0-18 and their families*
* Work collaboratively with our multidisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized plans for children with complex needs*
* Assess and address the physical, emotional, and social needs of children and their families*
* Develop and maintain relationships with community members, schools, and other organizations to ensure seamless service delivery*
**Requirements:**
* Bachelor degree in Occupational Therapy or related field*
* Postgraduate qualifications in paediatrics or related field highly regarded*
* Strong understanding of the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) and its application in the context of Aboriginal children and families*
* Experience working with Aboriginal communities and knowledge of cultural protocols and practices*
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills*
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team*
