We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Waste Management Operator to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is passionate about keeping our community clean and safe.

  • Main Responsibilities:
  • To operate waste collection vehicles in a safe and efficient manner, ensuring that all waste is collected and disposed of properly.
  • To collect domestic and commercial waste, including verge green waste and beach cleaning.
  • To maintain the city's reserves and beaches, including litter operations.

Key Skills and Qualifications:

  • Results-driven attitude: We are looking for someone who is self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to work unsupervised: As a Waste Management Operator, you will be required to work on your own at times, so it is essential that you are able to manage your time effectively and prioritize tasks.
  • Naturally service-oriented: You will be working with members of the public and other stakeholders, so excellent interpersonal and communication skills are essential.
  • High level of interpersonal and communication skills: You will need to be able to communicate clearly and effectively with colleagues, customers, and other stakeholders.
  • Highly organized with strong forward planning skills: You will need to be able to plan and prioritize your work effectively, as well as meet deadlines and manage competing demands.
