A career-defining opportunity has arisen for an experienced Senior Project Manager to join Aris Zinc's Canberra team.

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to lead our project management initiatives, delivering exceptional results in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement comprehensive project plans, ensuring timely completion and within budget.
  • Lead cross-functional teams, providing guidance and mentorship to ensure successful project outcomes.
  • Maintain effective stakeholder relationships, fostering open communication and resolving issues promptly.
  • Collaborate with key personnel to identify and mitigate risks, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Develop and maintain project documentation, including status reports and risk assessments.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will possess:

  • A minimum of 8 years' experience in project management, with a proven track record of delivering complex projects on time and within budget.
  • Excellent organisational and leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and guide teams effectively.
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders.
  • Thorough understanding of diverse business processes and strategy development.
  • Excellent knowledge of MS Office, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
Desirable Qualifications

The following qualifications and experience are highly desirable:

  • Qualifications in project or program management.
  • Detailed understanding of client policy and processes.
  • Experience with network integration at the tactical and operational levels within secure ICT systems.
  • Highly effective stakeholder management skills, including internal and cross-organisation management.
  • Experience in organisational and project risk management.
  • Delivering within the Public Governance, Performance and Accountability Act.
  • Experience with agile project software, particularly Atlassian – Jira.
What We Offer

Aris Zinc offers a competitive salary package, estimated at $120,000 per annum, plus excellent benefits and opportunities for professional growth and development.

This is a 12-month contract position, with the possibility of extension. The ideal candidate will be based in Canberra and available to commence immediately.
