Strategic Community Mental Health Initiatives Manager

Job Summary: As a Senior Project Officer with the Victorian Department of Health, you will play a critical role in leading work to monitor and improve community mental health services in Victoria. Your key responsibilities will include facilitating relationships with community mental health services and supporting transformational reforms.
- Lead the management of relationships, commissioning, service performance and interfaces with community mental health services, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.
- Identify, monitor and develop appropriate responses to emerging service delivery issues, leveraging your analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Provide detailed advice, recommendations and program options and solutions to complex and sensitive issues, demonstrating your expertise and professionalism.
- Able to prepare complex briefs, letters, emails and reports using clear, concise and grammatically correct language, showcasing your exceptional written communication skills.
- Highly developed influencing and negotiation skills, with the ability to use direct and indirect influencing strategies, fostering strong relationships with stakeholders.
- Proven ability to establish and maintain relationships with people at all levels and from different backgrounds and organisations, promoting a culture of inclusivity and respect.
- Highly developed skills in planning and managing risks and ensures the use of honest, transparent and appropriate purchasing processes, upholding the department's values and standards.
About the Role: This fixed-term position is available until 28th February 2025, with the possibility for extension, working collaboratively within and across teams to support commissioning, service system performance and improvement and quality and safety oversight activities.
