Ambitious Ice Rink Operator

Job Summary:

We are seeking a diligent Ice Rink Operator to work at an arena, ensuring the smooth operation of ice surfaces and providing exceptional customer service. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, attention to detail, and be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain ice surfaces by operating machines to clean, smooth and prepare them for use.
  • Monitor equipment to detect wear and damage, ensuring timely maintenance and repair work is arranged.
  • Clean and maintain recreational facilities and grounds, adhering to health and safety standards.
  • Change propane tanks as required, exercising caution and following standard procedures.
  • Arrange for maintenance and repair work, collaborating with internal teams and external contractors.
  • Monitor quality and production levels, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions.
  • Provide excellent customer service, responding to queries and resolving issues in a professional manner.

Requirements:

  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • 1 to less than 7 months of experience in a similar role.
  • Proficiency in English language.

Work Environment:

  • Primarily outdoors, exposed to cold/refrigerated conditions.
  • May involve working in wet/damp environments.

Security Clearances:

  • Criminal record check.
  • Driving record check (abstract).
