Warehouse Operations Manager – Labelling Production

We are seeking an experienced Warehouse Supervisor to join our Prestons DC team to manage our labelling production room, known as the Weigh Label Room (WLR). This is a busy environment, comprising around 50 team members who are responsible for inspecting, packing, weighing and labelling chicken products.
Key Responsibilities:- Oversee the daily operations of a busy production environment, ensuring optimal efficiencies are achieved while meeting KPI targets.
- Manage the rostering and rotation of 45 team members and 8 leading hands across 3 shifts, ensuring the team is well-equipped to meet customer expectations.
- Lead and develop the team through effective people management strategies to achieve individual, team and site objectives.
- Work with shift team leaders to drive performance and deliver on customer expectations.
- Partner with the Sales and Planning teams to determine demand, supply and labour requirements.
- Work closely with other internal stakeholders, including DC Operations Manager and DC Manager, to ensure seamless operations.
- Manage and reduce product wastage coming out of the WLR.
- Oversee maintenance of labelling machines.
- Manage a P&L.
- Previous experience working in a fast-paced production/manufacturing environment with a proven track record of achieving positive operational outcomes.
- Superior leadership skills, able to build rapport quickly and effectively to create a highly collaborative working environment.
- Experience in leading, coaching and developing a large team.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to partner cross-functionally and build strong relationships with a variety of stakeholders.
- High attention to detail and demonstrated ability to plan, prioritise and organise work demands while meeting tight deadlines.
- Strong analytical and numerical skills, with proficiency in Excel and managing a P&L.
