We are seeking an experienced Senior Medical Advisor to provide high-level strategic clinical advice to the Patient Safety Surveillance Unit.

The successful candidate will facilitate the implementation of agreed strategies and policies to achieve integration and development of safety and quality policy into healthcare services across the WA Health system.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide strategic clinical advice to the Patient Safety Surveillance Unit regarding innovative approaches to enhance the system-wide establishment of clinical best practice.
  • Support the Patient Safety Surveillance Unit in its assurance functions related to clinical governance.
  • Develop quality clinical initiatives to ensure clinical pathways and guidelines are observed.
  • Liaise with other Units and Directorates and Health Services and Hospitals regarding strategies and policies.
