Job Description

The Head of Procurement is a critical role in supporting the business to achieve its short- and long-term goals. This position will be responsible for building and executing a sustainable sourcing strategy for the company.

This role will ensure the efficient delivery of procurement activities, working closely with suppliers to deliver the most effective outcome meeting service, quality, and customer needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Development of purchasing processes and efficiencies.
  • Supplier relationship development to assist with strategic sourcing.
  • Reporting and documenting production quality related issues and outcomes.
  • Production planning alongside the planning team.
  • Formalizing and monitoring processes for supplier and secondary ingredient approval as well as other categories.
  • Quality assurance in line with food safety guidelines.
  • Managing a talented Procurement Category Manager.
  • Ownership of purchasing activities flowing through to production.

Key Experience Required

  • 5-7 years of experience in Purchasing/Procurement Management.
  • Experience in purchasing/inventory management in a manufacturing or commercial environment.
  • Fast-paced purchasing skills.
  • Solid experience in supplier management and sourcing.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work closely with all departments.
  • Knowledge of food and beverage groups and items highly desirable.
  • A true desire to work, grow, and develop a career within the team.
