Our school management ecosystem is used in over 3,000 schools across Australia and beyond. We're a team of over 200 members, delivering smart school management solutions worldwide.

About the Role & Team

You'll work within our Product teams, collaborating with Engineers, Product Owners, Designers, and stakeholders. We have 13 Engineering teams championing core modules and features across the Compass platform.

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain secure, scalable software used by thousands globally.
  • Inspire quality and best practices by championing software craftsmanship, clean code, and pair programming.
  • Build strong relationships with your team, be generous with thoughts and feedback (and open to receiving it).
  • Grow, learn, and thrive in a team committed to supporting you and helping you succeed.
  • Mentor colleagues and drive architectural strategy using industry best practices and Compass guidelines.
  • Communicate with internal teams to understand customer needs and collaborate with Product Owners and Designers to shape products solving their problems.
  • Contribute to our diverse and inclusive culture, taking pride in doing work making a real difference for school communities.

Requirements

What we're looking for:

  • 2+ years' experience in object-oriented programming languages (C#, MS.Net).
  • 2+ years' experience in frontend javascript libraries and frameworks (React.js, Node.js, Typescript).
  • A keen attitude to develop high-quality products with other talented developers.
  • A passion for software development and interest in actively keeping up-to-date with new tech.
  • Experience working with SQL/NoSQL databases like MongoDB and comfort designing database solutions.
  • Previous exposure working with Java, Spring Framework, RabbitMQ, or AWS is advantageous.

Salary Range: $120,000 - $180,000 per annum.
