Machine Maintenance Technician

We are seeking a skilled Machine Maintenance Technician to join our team. As a key member of our maintenance crew, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our equipment and machinery.

Your primary responsibility will be to perform routine maintenance tasks, including inspections, repairs, and replacements as needed. You will also be responsible for troubleshooting mechanical issues and identifying opportunities for process improvements.

To succeed in this role, you will need excellent problem-solving skills, a strong understanding of mechanical systems, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities:
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, including inspections, repairs, and replacements as needed
  • Troubleshoot mechanical issues and identify opportunities for process improvements
  • Work collaboratively with other team members to achieve goals and objectives
  • Ensure all work is completed to a high standard, with attention to detail and quality
Requirements:
  • Mechanical Trade Certificate with Advanced Certificate preferred
  • Experience in high-speed manufacturing environments (3-5+ years)
  • Maintenance experience, preventative maintenance planning and corrective maintenance systems
  • Ability to troubleshoot control systems and mechanical faults on equipment
  • A good understanding of mechanical systems, motors, pumps, conveyors, compressors, air systems
  • Team player with a proactive attitude and excellent communication skills
  • Be able to meet requirements of Orora's pre-employment medical which includes drug & alcohol testing
