Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Sample Preparer to join our team at ALS Geochemistry in Kalgoorlie. As a key member of our Sample Preparation section, you will play a vital role in preparing mineral samples for laboratory analysis.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for sorting and preparing large quantities of mineral samples using various equipment such as Photon Assay and Roboprep. You will also collect data for hyperspectral analysis and perform routine manual tasks in a minerals processing environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Sorting and weighing bags of samples (up to 10kg)
  • Operating mineral sample preparation equipment (crushers, pulverisers, etc.)
  • Collecting data for hyperspectral analysis
  • Performing routine manual tasks in a minerals processing environment
Requirements
  • Ability to work rotating shifts
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Willingness to work as part of a high-performance team with a focus on quality and safety
  • Reliability, physical fitness, and ability to perform repetitive manual handling tasks
Salary and Benefits

The base salary for this role is $48,500 - $55,200 per annum, plus shift penalties, site allowance, and superannuation.
