Product Development Specialist

This is a unique opportunity to become a key clinical partner in advancing orthopaedic surgery through the application of cutting-edge robotic technology.

About The Role
  • As a Robotic Product Development Specialist, you will play a critical role in supporting orthopaedic surgeons in the planning and execution of robotic-assisted hip and knee replacements using advanced surgical techniques.

You will be the primary clinical expert for the Mako system, providing real-time support during procedures and working closely with surgical teams to optimise patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Serve as the in-theatre expert for Mako-assisted procedures, providing technical and clinical guidance to surgeons and theatre staff.
  • Collaborate with surgical teams to ensure optimal use of the Mako robotic platform during joint replacement surgeries.
  • Conduct pre-operative CT-based planning and segmentation to assist in surgical case preparation.
  • Maintain a high level of knowledge in orthopaedic surgical techniques, anatomy, and robotic technology.
  • Provide ongoing training and clinical support to hospital staff and surgical teams.
  • Travel across Sydney and surrounding areas to support multiple hospital sites.

  • A strong clinical background and a passion for surgical innovation.
  • Confidence in surgical/theatre settings, technical savvy with software and medical technology, passion for improving the lives of patients, excellent communication skills who can build trust with surgeons and hospital teams, adaptability, detail-orientation, and ability to perform under pressure.
