Optical Systems Engineer

About the Role:

  • We are seeking an Optical Systems Engineer to develop advanced optical systems for precision measurement and sensing applications.

Responsibilities:

  • Design, construct, and test ruggedised and miniaturised optical systems for deployment in various environments.
  • Collaborate with physicists, engineers, and stakeholders to design high-precision measurement systems for cutting-edge research and development projects.
  • Be part of a team responsible for integration, testing, and validation of newly commissioned sensors and measurement systems.
  • Contribute to critical field trials with key industry partners, focusing on quantum sensing technologies.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in physics, optics, or a related field.
  • Demonstrated experience designing free-space optical systems with high precision requirements.
  • Expertise in using ZEMAX software for optical system design and simulation.
