We're seeking a skilled Developmental Educator to join our interdisciplinary team in Southern Melbourne. As a key member of our team, you'll work with participants and their support teams to develop new skills, problem-solve challenges, and enhance their capacity to make informed life choices.

About the Role

This is an ongoing full-time or part-time opportunity (minimum 4 days per week), offering a competitive salary range of $83,582 - $100,342, inclusive of annual leave loading and superannuation.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct initial assessments using our LEAD evidence-based assessment tool to identify participant needs and goals
  • Liaise with the interdisciplinary team to develop tailored support plans that promote independence and quality-of-life outcomes
  • Provide person-centered support and planning to participants, their families, and support teams
  • Build strong relationships with participants, families, and support teams to facilitate effective communication and collaboration
  • Participate in peer group supervision/mentoring and professional learning to enhance expertise and skills

Your Ideal Background

  • Hold a Bachelor or Masters of Disability (or equivalent) and be eligible for membership with the DEAI
  • Be passionate about removing barriers using the social model of therapy
  • Show empathy, understanding, and a non-judgmental approach when working with participants and their support teams
  • Be driven to achieve high-impact outcomes in people's lives
  • Hold a valid NDIS Worker Screening Check, Working with Children's Check, and a driver's license
