Accommodating Technology Expert

We are seeking an Accommodating Technology Expert to provide operational support and advice to employees navigating our clients systems. The position requires sound decision-making and judgement to identify accessible solutions mitigating barriers.

This role offers the opportunity to make a significant difference for our client in a 12-month contract with up to 24 months of extensions possible.

Australian citizens will be considered for this role.

  • Delivering ICT support services, with knowledge of Microsoft Windows 10 and Microsoft 365 (including Microsoft Office and other cloud services).
  • Providing configuration and ongoing support for Assistive Technology software and hardware solutions.
  • Meeting agreed work targets and standards.
  • Developing creative and innovative solutions to difficult and complex problems.
  • Producing documentation from simple work instructions to business proposals outlining requirements and implementation strategies.
  • Experience working in Government or providing services to Government agencies.
  • Knowledge or experience working in an ICT service desk environment.
  • Understanding Australian accessibility standards and guidelines.
  • Speciality in Assistive Technology software, such as JAWS and/or Dragon Naturally Speaking.
  • Understanding key issues and barriers faced by people with disability, injury or illness.
