Forensic Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Forensic Engineer to join our CRD Team located within our Sunshine Coast office. As a Forensic Engineer, you will be responsible for providing expert advice on all things forensic engineering, including inspecting and reporting on building-related matters, providing technical advice, and dealing with various stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities- Inspect and report on building-related matters, including preparing causation reports on defects and damages to buildings and associated structures.
- Provide technical advice and detailed scope of works and cost estimates in accordance with Australian Standards and Building Code of Australia.
- Deal with a variety of stakeholders, including Insureds, general public, builders, and insurers.
- A Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (preferably structural engineering).
- Chartered Engineer (CPEng) or National Engineering Register (NER) qualified.
- At least 3 years' experience as a Civil/Structural Engineer.
- A thorough knowledge of the Building Code of Australia and relevant Australian Standards.
- Experience working in a fast-paced environment, preferably within the insurance industry.
- Experience working with legal firms and insurance companies (highly desirable).
- Ability to scope and estimate cost of repairs to domestic, commercial, and industrial properties.
- Ability to support conclusions by appropriate expert testimony in legal proceedings.
