Heavy Industry Maintenance Technician

Our company is seeking a skilled and experienced Heavy Industry Maintenance Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience working with heavy machinery and equipment, as well as knowledge of mechanical seals and condition monitoring.

About the Role

This is a full-time position based in Woleebee Creek, QLD. As a member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing plant rotating and fixed equipment. You will work closely with our team to ensure smooth operations and provide exceptional service to our clients.

Responsibilities
  1. Maintain, repair, and overhaul pumps, mixers, mechanical seals and other rotating equipment and plant systems.
  2. Replace bearings, mechanical seals, and pump alignments and other tasks allocated by supervisor.
  3. Communicate hazards, issues, or faults to maintain smooth operations.
  4. Complete all required corresponding documentation to completed tasks.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Demonstrated experience working as a fitter and turner in a heavy industrial environment.
  • Experience with pumps, mixers, mechanical seals and other rotating equipment is important, including pipe and static equipment system maintenance.
  • Flexible and adaptable as the business requires, able to work under minimal supervision.
  • Computer literate: Intermediate level using MS office and CMMS.
  • Knowledge of mechanical seals and condition monitoring advantageous.
