Job Overview

Nulkaba Public School is a dynamic educational institution that fosters academic excellence, social growth, and cultural understanding. Our vibrant community prides itself on delivering high-quality education, wellbeing, and innovative teaching practices.

We have 17 mainstream classes and 3 support unit classes, catering to diverse student needs. Approximately 14% of our students identify as Aboriginal, reflecting our commitment to inclusivity and cultural sensitivity.

Leadership Requirements

We seek a visionary leader who can inspire, motivate, and empower staff, students, and the community. You will be a collaborative and authentic leader who can build upon existing programs to enhance outcomes for our Aboriginal students.

As a K-6 leadership role, you will balance exemplary classroom teaching practice with complex responsibilities. This includes inspiring, building capacity, managing performance, and leading stage teams.

We value your proven knowledge, skills, and ability to embrace inclusion and build a culture of high expectations that reflects the rich diversity of our wider school community.

General Selection Criteria
  1. Successful teaching experience with capacity to initiate improvement in teaching, learning, and classroom practice.
  2. Knowledge of curriculum, assessment, and student welfare with the ability to lead and design quality, inclusive teaching and learning programs.
  3. Educational leadership skills to build the capacity and manage the performance of individuals and teams.
  4. Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills with the capacity to build relationships and engage students, staff, and parents.
  5. Ability to plan and manage resources effectively and equitably to support teaching and learning.
  6. Knowledge of and commitment to Department policies regarding Aboriginal education.
