We are currently seeking a part-time cleaner to join our team at Durungaling Hostel in Newcastle. This role involves creating a safe, clean and welcoming environment for residents.
Our organisation offers a supportive work environment where your efforts are valued.
Key Responsibilities of the Cleaner:
- Clean and maintain resident rooms, kitchens, bathrooms, office spaces and communal areas.
- Conduct room inspections to ensure safety and hygiene standards.
- Manage the laundry service and handle cleaning supplies and equipment safely.
- Assist with other tasks as needed.
Requirements:
- Available to work weekdays 9:00am – 1:30pm (45 hours per fortnight).
- No prior cleaning experience necessary – just a good attitude and willingness to learn.
- Attention to detail and ability to work independently when needed.
- Physical fitness, including regular use of stairs.
Selection Criteria:
- Provide evidence of Australian Citizenship.
- Undergo, obtain and maintain a Satisfactory National Criminal History Check.
- Meet Fitness for Duty requirements.
- Hold and maintain a NSW Working with Children Check.
