Volunteer Board Member - Fundraising

The Camden Women's Shelter is a vital part of the Women's Community Shelters Network, providing emergency accommodation to women and their children experiencing homelessness due to domestic or family violence.

Our shelter offers a safe haven for these individuals during a difficult time. Our vision is that every woman and child can find hope and opportunity on their journey to independence by rebuilding self-esteem and achieving control over their lives.

Key Responsibilities:

- Develop and implement effective fundraising strategies.

- Identify and leverage new fundraising opportunities.

- Plan and promote successful fundraising events.

- Build strong relationships with stakeholders.

- Provide regular updates and advice to the Board on fundraising matters.

- Ensure compliance with relevant legislation and regulations.

Requirements:

- Relevant experience in fundraising and/or event management.

- Experience in the not-for-profit sector or similar industries.

- Availability for a 3-year term as a Board Member.

- Residency in or near the Camden local government area.
