Join EMM Consulting Pty Limited as a Team Manager for our Surface Water team

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled professional to lead our Surface Water team, providing strategic direction and guidance to our team members. As a Team Manager, you will play a pivotal role in the growth and development of our Surface Water practice, working closely with our Division Leader, Team Managers, and Team Leaders to achieve our business objectives.

• Lead and develop the Surface Water team, providing guidance and support to team members to ensure they have the skills and knowledge needed to deliver high-quality projects.
• Work with the Division Leader and Team Managers to develop and implement the yearly planning and strategy for the W&L Division.
• Oversee the growth and development of the SW&L team, both in terms of people and quality of output, in consultation with the Division Leader, Team Managers, Team Leaders, and Technical Leads.
• Coordinate resourcing and availability to ensure fair allocation of work and develop a recruitment strategy for the SW&L team based on resourcing needs.
• Lead and guide the growth and development of Team Leaders and Technical Leads, giving them the confidence and opportunity to develop others within the team.
• Conduct performance reviews for Team Leaders through scheduled and ongoing appraisal/feedback mechanisms.
• Marketing and business development activities to promote the Surface Water practice and attract new clients.
• Shared accountability for key financial metrics and act as either Project Director or Project Manager with responsibility for successful project delivery.

• A strong focus on people and their ongoing growth and development, including high levels of emotional intelligence.
• Ability to lead leaders, including mentoring and nurturing a team through motivational and inspirational leadership.
• A minimum of 15 years' industry experience in hydrology/water engineering or a closely related field as either a consultant or in an industry capacity for mining or infrastructure projects.
• Expertise in scoping, leading technical components of hydrological and surface water investigations, including rainfall, flow, and flood analyses, flood modeling, flood mapping, and risk assessments.
• Experience in strategic thinking and business planning and ability to work collaboratively across disciplines.
• Superior project management and project delivery skills and excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently and flexibility to work across a range of projects across sectors and industries.
• Maintain a high level of integrity and discretion and registered Professional Engineer accredited or ability to become accredited is preferred.
