The West Gate Tunnel Project is a city-shaping project that will deliver a vital alternative to the West Gate Bridge, provide quicker and safer journeys, and remove thousands of trucks off residential streets.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and issue permits to ensure they are processed and issued in accordance with the Manage Work Permits procedure and all other associated procedures and Safety Essentials.
- Audit all facets of the PTW system at regular intervals to ensure compliance.
- Facilitate and coordinate Project Construction PTW requirements by liaising with Supervisors/Subcontractors and access and enable work flow.
- Regularly audit and ensure information and procedures are adequate for isolations.
- Be actively involved in the development of third-party interface agreements to safely execute workloads carried out by external subcontractors to the project.
- Monitor material availability and coordinate with task scheduling.
Requirements
- Highly regarded applicants with previous Electrical or Mechanical commissioning experience.
- Permit to Work experience (5+ years) in Construction and/or heavy industry and high-risk workplaces.
- Cert IV Occupational Health and Safety.
- Trade qualification in a related industry preferred.
- Experience in construction on major projects.
- Experience in participating in high-level investigations involving multiple internal and external parties.
- Knowledge of isolation procedures and compliance codes.
