About the Role
VMCH is seeking a skilled and compassionate Cafe Disability Support Worker to join our team at 'Where is my Coffee', an innovative cafe that supports people with disability to grow their job skills and independence in a real-life work environment.
About You
We are looking for an experienced hospitality professional with a passion for working with people with disability. You will have a strong background in barista and cafe food and beverage preparation, presentation, and serving, with excellent customer service skills. Previous experience working in the disability sector is highly regarded.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide hands-on mentoring to people participating in our trainee program to build their self-confidence, barista, and customer service skills.
- Work collaboratively with the Cafe Community Team Leader to develop and implement training programs.
- Contribute to a positive and inclusive work environment that supports the growth and development of our team members.
- Ensure high-quality customer service and food preparation standards are maintained.
