Residential Care Manager

At our modern community in Western Sydney, we seek a dedicated and passionate Residential Care Manager to lead our team. This is an excellent opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of seniors and their families.

  • The successful candidate will be responsible for creating a warm and welcoming environment that promotes independence and wellbeing.
  • They will oversee the daily operations of the community, ensuring smooth day-to-day management, maintenance, and upkeep.
  • They will also attend quarterly advisory board meetings and take minutes.
  • We are looking for someone who can be a friendly face and support our residents with concerns, solve problems, and ensure they are happy, healthy, and thriving.
  • Key responsibilities include planning and overseeing engaging activities, from themed dinners and movie nights to gardening clubs and fitness classes.
  • The ideal candidate will lead a passionate team of staff who share a commitment to creating an exceptional living experience for our residents.

Requirements:

  • Excellent people management skills with the ability to lead, motivate, and develop teams.
  • Strong financial acumen with demonstrated experience in budgeting and financial reporting.
  • Proven experience in asset management, preferably within property, facilities, or retirement living.
  • A proactive, solutions-focused mindset with a commitment to resident wellbeing.
  • Experienced in operational management, with strong organisational, consultative, and negotiation skills.
  • Proficient in using Microsoft Office Suite and various online applications.
  • Resilient and a problem-solver who can think on their feet and handle challenges with ease.
  • Cares deeply about the needs and satisfaction of residents as a customer-centric individual.
  • A people person with a genuine love for working with seniors.
  • Compassionate and understands the unique needs of independent living seniors.

About You:

Our ideal candidate has excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with residents, staff, and external partners. They must be able to work collaboratively as part of a team, demonstrate a patient and empathetic approach, and be willing to adapt to changing circumstances.

They should have a solid understanding of relevant legislation, regulations, and industry best practices. Our Residential Care Manager will be a strategic thinker, with the ability to identify opportunities for growth and improvement, and implement effective solutions.
