About the Role:

At DB Schenker, we are seeking a skilled Distribution Centre Manager to oversee daily operations and drive efficiency, safety, and customer satisfaction in our Hoxton Park warehouse.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee daily operations to ensure the warehouse operates within budget and at peak efficiency
  • Plan and manage product distribution activities and oversee the DC team
  • Ensure effective structure is in place to meet customer SLAs and daily operations
  • Implement, monitor, and publish KPIs for the facility and staff
  • Manage inventory onsite, monitor cycle counts and stock audits, conduct monthly stock audits, and be involved with physical checking
  • Train and manage the warehouse team to solve day-to-day operational issues and reach short and long-term performance goals
  • Develop continuous improvement initiatives and strategies to increase profitability and efficiency

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Must have previous experience as an Operations Manager or DC Manager of a medium to large facility
  • Should have extensive experience in 3PL, distribution, and road transport
  • Should have strong commercial acumen with the ability to apply business theories to practical situations
  • Should have proficiency with warehouse systems (RF technology, WMS, ERP) and Microsoft Office applications
  • Should have a proven track record in customer relationship management and meeting customer expectations
  • Should have excellent communication, team motivation, and strategic goal achievement skills
  • Should have strong analytical skills and problem-solving abilities
  • Should have knowledge of statutory requirements regarding WHS and employee relations
  • Should have strong stakeholder engagement skills and the ability to drive improvement outcomes with site(s) and Operations Managers
