Lead Data Analytics Expert

Silverchain is looking for an experienced professional to head its data analytics team. This role offers flexibility and can be based in various locations across Australia.

The successful candidate will lead a team responsible for implementing, maintaining and supporting all data analytics and insights projects, as well as data science and data visualizations. They will work closely with key business users to ensure that all data and analytics activities align with business priorities.

Main Responsibilities

  1. Manage a team of data and reporting specialists through cross-skilling / up-skilling, career development and coaching to enable leaders to emerge and support evolving organisational and digital needs.
  2. Lead and support a geographically dispersed team to work effectively, cohesively and harmoniously.
  3. Promote a culture of developing robust, secure and appropriate reporting designs and implement them.
  4. Support the adoption of Agile frameworks and lead/coach the team on Lean and Agile practices.
  5. Contribute to growing a data-driven culture across Silverchain, increasing the maturity of data literacy and awareness.
  6. Demonstrate expert communication skills and ability to influence leadership.

About You

We are seeking an experienced leader who focuses on coaching and mentoring cross-functional team members. A strong knowledge of Data Science is desirable. A deep understanding of the full lifecycle of developing reports, analytics and insights, including knowledge of relational database management systems, data science and other contemporary analytics techniques, experience in leading engagements with senior stakeholders, data visualization technologies and data profiling techniques to analyze data from source systems.
