Student Nurse Position

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate student nurse to join our dynamic Cardiac Unit at St Andrew's Hospital. As a student nurse, you will have the opportunity to gain invaluable experience in a renowned healthcare setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the Registered General Nurse with patient admission and discharge planning.
- Maintain the patient's comfort, dignity, and personal privacy.
- Attend to the patient's activities of daily living and encourage progressive responsibility for self-care where appropriate.
- Encourage the patient to be actively engaged in their plan of care and the clinical handover process.
- Observe the patient at all times and monitor their condition. Immediately report clinical changes or concerns to a registered nurse and complete documentation as required.
- Seek and participate in educational and practical learning opportunities.
About You
To be successful in this role, you must be currently enrolled in a Bachelor of Nursing program, have completed all first-year subjects, including a medication authorization module/assessment where possible, and possess a satisfactory and current Working with Children Check.
