About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and experienced First Response/Gas Fitter/Plumber to join our Operations team in Eagle Farm, QLD, on a Permanent Full-time basis.

As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in providing safe and timely delivery of field activities related to gas escapes, disconnections, and reconnections of domestic and commercial services, including regulators and metering equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work collaboratively with the team under the general direction of a Supervisor or Co-ordinator
  • Complete supply investigation and rectification activities
  • Respond and classify gas leaks in accordance with the APA Group Leak Management Plan
  • Utilize equipment to pinpoint probable sources of gas leaks
  • Perform activities related to re-lighting appliances for end-users
  • Maintain constant awareness of personal safety and that of colleagues and the general public
  • Participate in a rotating roster with occasional weekend, night, and afternoon work
Requirements
  • Previous experience in a similar role is highly regarded
  • Licensed or registered gas fitter
  • C Class driver's licence
  • Demonstrated experience in gas distribution or field maintenance will be highly valued
  • Strong customer focus and communication skills
