We are seeking a highly skilled and passionate VCE Mathematics tutor to join our team of educators at Contour Education. As a tutor, you will play a vital role in empowering students to achieve their best in Mathematics, providing them with the knowledge, skills, and confidence to succeed in their studies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver high-quality tutoring sessions to small groups of students, tailoring your approach to meet the needs of each individual
  • Prepare for sessions by reviewing class workbooks and developing engaging lesson plans
  • Communicate effectively with students and parents, providing regular updates and feedback
  • Manage student emails and address questions promptly, ensuring a seamless and supportive experience
Requirements
  • Subject expertise in VCE Mathematical Methods 3/4, VCE Mathematical Methods 1/2, VCE Specialist Mathematics 3/4, or VCE Specialist Mathematics 1/2
  • High level of empathy and energy, with a passion for Mathematics and a desire to inspire students
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with students and parents
  • Independence and proactiveness, with a willingness to take initiative and lead
  • Willingness to listen, learn, and adapt to the needs of students and the team
  • Intelligence and creativity, with a ability to think critically and develop innovative solutions
Academic Requirements
  • 99+ ATAR
  • 40+ Raw Study Score in Specialist Mathematics or 45+ Raw Study Score in Mathematical Methods
  • First Year Uni Subject Specific Knowledge or Above
  • Tutoring experience in subject(s)
  • Academic Awards in subject(s)

  • Full Academic Year Commitment
