Lead Our STEM Program

The successful candidate will be a highly skilled and motivated teacher, responsible for leading our STEM program at St Damian's School.

This 0.6 FTE Specialist role position requires the applicant to demonstrate a high degree of initiative, be highly organised, self-motivated, and able to nurture the faith of all in our community, actively supporting our Catholic school vision.

The ideal candidate will possess a sound knowledge and understanding of the Victorian Curriculum and be willing to lead the delivery of a quality STEM program that supports students in the use of technology and transitions to developing an innovative and enriching curriculum.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading the development and implementation of the STEM program
  • Mentoring and guiding teachers in the effective use of technology in the classroom
  • Providing professional learning opportunities for staff to enhance their teaching practices
  • Collaborating with colleagues to develop and implement school-wide initiatives

Requirements:

  • Sound knowledge and understanding of the Victorian Curriculum
  • Ability to demonstrate a high degree of initiative and leadership
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Capacity to work collaboratively as part of a team
  • Current VIT Registration and accreditation to teach Religious Education
