Network Support Specialist Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct surveys to identify existing infrastructure, locate current APs, IDF/MDF rooms, network switches, and power sources.
  • Confirm new AP locations and verify proposed AP positions on the floor plan for optimal coverage and minimal interference.
  • Measure cable paths, trace actual cable routes from APs to the IDF/MDF, and document key points.
  • Take photos and document cable lengths, port needs, and observations using tools such as a label printer, cable tester, crimping tool, drill machine, fishing rod, screw driver set, laptop, and console cable RJ 45 to USB.

Requirements:

  • Experience as a cable installer and engineer with knowledge of Aruba AP installation and documentation.

Benefits:

  • Pay rates ranging from $30.00 to $40.00 per hour.
