Head Chef Job

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Head Chef to join our team. As a Head Chef, you will play a crucial role in enhancing the overall quality of life for residents by providing delicious and nutritious meals.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing kitchen operations, including overseeing staff and ensuring high standards of food quality and safety are maintained.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Assisting with menu planning to design nutritious and diverse menus that cater to the dietary requirements of Arcare residents.
  • Preparation and cooking of meals using fresh ingredients and adhering to proper food handling and food safety protocols.
  • Ensuring all meals meet high-quality standards in taste, appearance, and portion sizes, and making adjustments as needed based on resident feedback.
  • Managing inventory and budget efficiently by sourcing ingredients cost-effectively and minimizing food waste.
  • Working with dietitians and nutritionists to analyze the nutritional content of meals and provide well-balanced and healthy options for residents.
Requirements
  • Certificate III or IV in Hospitality (Commercial Cookery) or Higher.
  • Community and Health Services - Food Safety Supervisor Certification.
  • Adaptable, passionate, and willingness to learn.
  • Collaborative and skilled at teamwork.
  • Friendly and effective communication abilities.
