Senior Resource Recovery Project Officer

About the role
We are seeking a dedicated Senior Resource Recovery Project Officer to join our Resource Recovery team and play a key role in the delivery of city-wide organic waste collection services. Your main focus will be on project management for the delivery of key waste projects, helping the community improve sustainability.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Project oversight and coordination
- Monitoring and evaluating project performance
- Interfacing with the public, council stakeholders, and elected representatives
- Managing organic waste contracts
- Preparing council briefings and reports to the State Government
About you
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- A Bachelor's degree in Project Management, Environmental Engineering, Waste Management, Business Management, or substantial experience in project management
- Experience in waste management and resource recovery
- Skills in data analysis
- Stakeholder engagement and public education/community engagement experience is desired

About the benefits
This is a full-time fixed-term position until April 2026 at Level 6 with a salary commencing at $100,533 plus 12.5% superannuation.
