Job Description:Bus Driver Role

The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing driving services to and from various locations, ensuring the safe and comfortable transport of residents and clients. This includes performing daily vehicle checks and assisting residents and clients with mobility support as needed.

The role requires a current MR or LR licence, proven experience in bus driving, and a strong commitment to working with the frail aged and people with challenging behaviours.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Efficient arrangement of maintenance and repair of vehicles
  • Monitoring daily the completion of daily vehicle checks
  • Providing driving services to and being responsible for the welfare and safety of residents and clients
  • Assisting residents and clients to enter and exit the bus and providing mobility support as required
Requirements:Skill and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you must have:

  • A current MR or LR licence
  • Proven experience and reliability in bus driving
  • Certificate III in Aged Care (desired)
  • A strong commitment to working with the frail aged and people with challenging behaviours, including dementia, developmental disabilities, and psychiatric illnesses
  • Ability to provide service equitable to all consumers regardless of race, religion, gender, social or financial background
