As a Clinical Nurse Consultant, you will have the opportunity to make a significant impact on the clinical and academic endoscopy services at our health service.
The role involves working in a nurse-led model of care for patients referred through the National Bowel Cancer Screening Program (NBCSP), as well as coordinating our innovative post-endoscopy review pathway.
This is an exciting opportunity for a dedicated and enthusiastic registered nurse to contribute to the advancement of endoscopy nursing practice and patient care.
Key Responsibilities- Work independently and collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team to provide high-quality patient care and support.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with healthcare professionals, patients, and their families to ensure seamless care transitions.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of evidence-based clinical guidelines and best practices in endoscopy nursing.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and experience.
- Provide education and support to colleagues and students to promote excellence in endoscopy nursing practice.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
Current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
A minimum of 3 years post-graduate experience in acute care.
Demonstrated experience working in endoscopy nursing, with a strong understanding of relevant clinical trials and research.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a dynamic team environment.
Ability to think critically and solve problems creatively, with a focus on improving patient outcomes and experiences.
Familiarity with quality improvement methodologies and tools.
