Responsible Operations Manager

The key to our business success is producing high-quality, locally sourced recycled resins.

This role involves managing the plastic recycling plant, leading transformation opportunities, driving innovation and efficiency.

You will have four direct reports: Maintenance Fitter and three Shift Leaders, operating on a 24/5 roster.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead by example in promoting a safe working environment at all times.
  • Identify process capability and product issues impacting quality performance.
  • Work with HR and the General Manager to develop, train, and succession plan across the operation.
  • Manage employee relations programs and ensure an effective industrial climate to deliver business outcomes.
  • Collaborate with the Maintenance team to ensure production efficiency meets customer and business requirements.
  • Monitor and report on operational KPIs and initiate corrective actions via continuous improvement activities.

Requirements:

To be successful, you'll need:

  • A background in plastics recycling or a similar industry.
  • Management experience in an industrial-based manufacturing business.
  • Sound leadership and communication skills.
  • Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles.
