Aircraft Maintenance Role Overview

As an Aircraft Maintenance Engineer - Structures, you will play a vital role in ensuring the airworthiness and safety of aircraft. Your responsibilities will include performing maintenance tasks on sheet metal, bonded and non-metallic composite materials, and components.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintenance of aircraft structures, including inspection, repair, and replacement of components.
  • Ensuring all work is performed to regulatory standards and within delegated authority.
  • Collaborating with team members to achieve maintenance objectives and improve overall efficiency.
  • Recording and certifying work completed, as well as reporting defects and deficiencies to supervisors.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • Completion of a Certificate IV in Aeroskills - Structures or equivalent qualification.
  • Australian citizenship and ability to obtain a Federal Government Security Clearance.
  • Experience or strong interest in Defence Aircraft maintenance.
  • Military or Civil Aviation Maintenance Licence (highly desirable).
  • Understanding of Australian Defence Force aircraft maintenance regulations and procedures.
