Job Description

As a Registered Midwife, you will have the opportunity to work in a variety of settings, including core, Midwifery Group Practice (MGP), and community midwifery. Each role offers unique responsibilities and challenges, allowing you to broaden your skills and experience in rural and remote healthcare.

  • Core Midwifery: Join a collaborative maternity team in a facility managing 400-450 births annually. You will work across all areas of maternity care, including labor and delivery, antenatal/postnatal wards, and a special care nursery, on a rotating roster.
  • Midwifery Group Practice (MGP): Work in a caseload model that emphasizes continuity of care, supporting mothers from antenatal through postnatal stages. This role involves on-call support, offering personalized care that strengthens relationships with mothers and families throughout the maternity journey.
  • Community Midwifery: Engage in a weekday community-based role focused on antenatal and postnatal care without birthing or call-out duties. This position is perfect for midwives passionate about fostering deep connections with the local community, delivering culturally responsive care in a unique rural setting.
