About the Project:

The John Hunter Health Campus redevelopment aims to enhance facilities and expand capacity, meeting growing healthcare demands in Greater Newcastle and northern NSW. This includes the new Acute Services Building (ASB) and refurbishments to the existing hospital.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee construction activities, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.
  • Coordinate subcontractors and manage daily site operations effectively.
  • Conduct regular site inspections and maintain accurate project documentation.
  • Assist in labour forecasting requirements to meet project milestones.
  • Maintain a safe working environment and adhere to HSE guidelines.
  • Ensure quality outcomes and optimize productivity of work teams.
  • Procure materials, equipment, and goods up to agreed values.
  • Effectively manage sub-contractors and communicate with clients through regular meetings.

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Licence Electrician with at least 5 years of experience.
  • Proven track record in managing similar projects as a licensed electrician.
  • Experience in leading crews and achieving results-driven outcomes.
  • Ability to direct and communicate effectively with staff and contractors on-site.
  • Demonstrated expertise in delivering defect-free projects within budget and on time.
