About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Section Engineer to join our team on the Devonport Docks Project in Plymouth, Devon.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Maintain high standards of personal safety and environmental responsibility.
  2. Supervise site engineers to ensure efficient project delivery.
  3. Verify that drawings and specifications contain accurate information for construction.
  4. Provide clear setting out for works and communicate effectively with foremen and gangers.
  5. Arrange formal checking of setting out and complete inspection and test plans.
  6. Keep accurate daily site diaries and prepare 4-weekly programmes.
  7. Ensure accurate material measurements and reconciliation figures for reporting.
  8. Verify material delivery tickets for cost coding and perform testing/sampling of materials.
  9. Assist the measurement department and maintain survey books.
  10. Receive and inspect materials.
Requirements
  1. Hold a relevant qualification, such as ONC level or equivalent.
  2. Have successful experience at engineer level.
  3. possess knowledge of heavy civils experience and construction procedures.
  4. Be familiar with government legislation on safety and environment.
  5. Hold full UK right to work.
