About the Role
We are seeking a skilled Clinical Health Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our Primary Health Network, you will be responsible for providing clinical and consultancy services that enhance integration between Early Intervention in Psychosis (EIP) and headspace.
The ideal candidate will have extensive experience as an Occupational Therapist (including AHPRA registration) or as a Social Worker, with experience at Level 2 or higher.
They will work closely with our multidisciplinary team to provide proactive engagement and initiation of clinical therapies for young people who are at risk of developing a psychotic disorder.
This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires a high level of clinical expertise and a commitment to providing exceptional patient care.
Your Key Responsibilities
- To reduce the duration of untreated psychosis, limit its impact on the individual's quality of life, foster hope that recovery is possible, and maximize the quality of life of consumers, carers, and their families.
- To work in partnership with other agencies to provide psychosocial interventions aiming for maximal symptomatic and functional recovery and prevention of relapse.
- To assess and manage young people with mental health problems, including those with co-morbidities and substance use issues.
- To provide outreach services, including home visits, to support young people in need.
- To develop and implement targeted interventions for young people identified as being at risk of developing a psychotic disorder.
